🦋 Join us for a special guest speaker at the Oliver Springs Public Library!
On March 20th at 3:45 PM, we are honored to welcome Alison Vick presenting Wings of Hope: Remembering Tennessee’s Holocaust Survivors and Liberators.
This year, the Tennessee Holocaust Commission launched Wings of Hope, a statewide initiative partnering with schools, religious institutions, museums, and libraries across Tennessee. The program connects audiences to the Holocaust through the local history of survivors and liberators.
This interactive program is designed for all ages. Participants will experience a 30-minute presentation on “Tennesseans and the Holocaust,” exploring what was known during the war and aspects of postwar life in Tennessee. Attendees will then read short biographies of survivors and liberators and decorate butterflies in their honor. The completed butterflies are collected and sent to survivors, liberators, and their families.
With your participation, we hope to reach our goal of collecting 1,000 butterflies by June 30, 2026 to honor Tennessee’s Holocaust survivors and liberators.
We hope you will join us for this meaningful event. Let’s show our Oliver Springs support by helping reach the goal of 1,000 butterflies!
