# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Cathy & Marcy's Old Time Coalition
- **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 09 Oct, 2026 at 07:30 pm (-04:00)
- **Event Description**: With Becky Hill, Rachel Eddy & Em Hammond: Concert & Dance

Cathy & Marcy’s Old Time Coalition has grown out of a mutual love of Appalachian music and dance, and deep friendships built over the past twenty years. Picture the energy and passion of a fiddle, five-string banjo, guitar, mandolin or cello banjo and harmony singing in a late night session accompanied by the energetic percussion of feet on a board. Now take that long time tradition off the front porch and put it on stage paying tribute to the past, present and future conversations between tradition and contemporary music and performance values. Our mission as a band is to share the love of this social music and dance in concerts, workshops and community outreach. We are ambassadors of this music and dance tradition.
