Backyard Bird Count 2026 at Carter Caves State Resort Park

Join us on February 15 at 1:00 PM for a guided hike along the scenic Raven Bridge Trail as we explore the sights and sounds of Carter Caves’ feathered residents! Bring your own binoculars for the best views as we discover and record the many species that call the park home.

We’ll begin our adventure inside the Lewis Caveland Lodge, where you’ll meet your guide before heading out on the hike. Afterward, come back to the lodge lobby for a free bird-themed craft, and you’ll also have the option to purchase an event sticker or a bird guidebook to continue your birdwatching journey.

Every species we spot along the trail will be recorded and shared with the Audubon Society to support ongoing bird conservation efforts.
