A two-form-entry school with two concrete playgrounds and a field, they have transformed playtime from segregated key stage zones into a rich, inclusive play offer.Children now enjoy a wide range of play opportunities, including a messy café, wheeled play, a boat, loose parts, a deconstruction table, small world play, and fancy dress. Since the launch, the team has continued to refine and expand their provision - adding a gladiator (rough and tumble) zone, developing their loose parts collection, and embedding safe-enough building and making practices with children in their interactive play assemblies.They have also adapted their uniform policy, giving children the option to wear an 'active uniform' so that clothing never restricts play. Communication with families has been central to their success, using ClassDojo to share plans and hosting a lively stay and play session at the end of the summer term.This is a fantastic opportunity to see the OPAL Primary Programme in action and to pick up ideas, tips, and tricks to take back to your school.Additional informationParking for this event is on neighbouring roads.
