Nature Walk and Creative Drawing with Illustrator Gillian Flint
Join us for a relaxed and engaging family-friendly walk at Northern Roots , specially designed for children aged 5–11 and their families.
We’ll begin by meeting at the Northern Roots sign in the car park , then set off to explore the beautiful surroundings together. Along the way, children will be invited to take inspiration from nature and create their own artwork , guided by local illustrator Gillian Flint .
Our walk will include stops to observe and draw at inspiring spots, before we return to the farm to finish our drawings. There, we’ll also enjoy a short, child-friendly talk about what’s growing on site, and discover more about the bees, bugs, and hidden wildlife that make this space their home — perfect for curious young minds!
This is a fantastic opportunity for families to spend time outdoors, spark creativity, and explore the natural world together.
Please check the weather forecast before attending and dress appropriately . The walk will include some uneven terrain , so sturdy footwear is recommended.
Feel free to bring your own picnic to enjoy at the end of the session.
