Wear layers! While there are drinks provided including water, tea, and cocoa you are welcome to bring snacks to this event as well. We suggest bringing a headlamp to use while walking between the parking area, bathroom, and program area. Bathrooms:There will be an outhouse available during this event. It is ADA accesible. This bathroom has no running water. There are small installed battery lights. Event Conditions/Accessibility:This event will occur almost entirely outdoors. Between the Pine Parking Area and the Parker Reed Shelter you will travel a hard packed gravel road. There is a very slight decline and then incline between the parking and the shelter. The Parker Reed Shelter is a large, open space with electricity and heating. There is a short ramp with a 1 ½ inch lip to get inside the 32-inch wide doorway. (PHOTOS BELOW)*Rain Date: By registering for this event, you acknowledge that in the case of inclement weather, the program may be moved to the designated rain date. Refunds will not be issued if you are unable to attend on the rain date.__________________________________________________________________________________________________Weather PolicyHirundo will cancel a program when weather presents an unsafe condition for participants. Hirundo reserves the right to cancel programs at any point when it is deemed unsafe. Participants will be notified of cancellations via the contact info provided at registration.Full Moon programming (hikes, paddles) will not be canceled due to cloud coverage, and unobstructed views of the moon are not guaranteed.Final determination for cancellation is dependent on weather. Weather related cancellations will be made 3 hours in advance of the program. Please check your email before traveling to Hirundo Wildlife Refuge.Refund PolicyIf Hirundo cancels a program/event a full refund will be issued to every participant. The refund will be issued via Eventbrite and may take several days to complete.
