Bernstein has since appeared on more than 80 recordings and worked with Sonny Rollins, Joshua Redman, Diana Krall, Jimmy Cobb, and Tom Harrell, among many others, releasing his own acclaimed albums featuring rhythm sections including Brad Mehldau, Larry Grenadier, and Bill Stewart.Joining him is fellow guitarist Ed Cherry, best known for his long association with trumpet icon Dizzy Gillespie, with whom he performed from 1978 until shortly before Gillespie's death in 1993, appearing in his quartet, big band, and the Grammy Award winning United Nation Orchestra.
