This family-friendly event is a great way to get active, have fun, and help shelter dogs get noticed


⏰ Arrive by 9:45am so we can pair you with your walking buddy!

Get your steps in and make a difference — come walk a shelter dog! 🚶‍♀️🐶

👟 Walks are first-come, first-served. We typically have 20 dogs available, and each group may walk up to two dogs. Shelter staff and volunteers will be on the trail to help out. The walk takes about an hour, but there’s no rush — hang out and get to know your new furry friend!

📍 Meet at the shelter (2811 SE 29th St) on the front lawn — please gather in the grassy area away from the front door and form a single-file line. LOOK FOR THE A-FRAME SIGN! 

💧 Bring water and wear comfy clothes and shoes.
🌤️ Subject to change based on weather.

Children are welcome to join in the walks but they must be 13 to handle the leash! 

🐕 Bonus: Adoptions start at noon, so stick around — you just might meet your new best friend! Bring a  bag of dry dog or cat food for the Pet Food Bank (not necessary but totally appreciated!!)
