On Sunday, August 24, 1986 I decided to go out in drag to watch the Sunday night show at Angles. When I walked in, Patti Melt grabbed my arm and said, "Girl, I need you to do the show at the Wreck Room tonight."
I replied that I only had the outfit that I'd walked in with. She said she'd find me 2 more outfits. Then my friend Lance Woford said to follow him out to his car where we went through all his cassette tapes to find music for me to do. 
When I stepped on stage for my 1st number, my first professional paid engagement, I knew this is where I belonged. 
Come out and celebrate these last 40 years of my life with me on August 23rd at Frankie's.
