National Rodeo Hall of Fame Weekend at The Cowboy celebrates our the best competitors in the sport of rodeo and our museum’s long history recognizing rodeo’s greatest. Each year, we host a weekend honoring the newest class entering the National Rodeo Hall of Fame.
Opened in 1965, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum preserves and interprets the evolving history and cultures of the American West for the education and enrichment of its diverse audiences. The Museum, with its Rodeo Hall of Fame, is a leading destination for rodeo and Western culture enthusiasts.

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum and the Rodeo Historical Society host the annual Rodeo Hall of Fame Weekend celebrating rodeo legends’ induction into the Rodeo Hall of Fame as well as the Tad Lucas Memorial Award, Ben Johnson Memorial Award and the Director’s Choice Award recipients.
