This September and early October, we’re taking part in an exciting community science adventure, tagging the Monarch Butterfly as they begin their incredible migration south!

? New this year:
We’ll be testing for OE spores on every monarch we tag, helping scientists learn even more about the health of the population.
More tagging times! Weather permitting, we’ll tag in the mornings and early evenings so more people can join.

? Meeting Spot: We’ll meet at the Boathouse located at 650 S. Hudson Avenue and will start on time each day.

? Why it matters: Monarchs are facing major challenges, and the data we collect is a critical part of conservation efforts to protect this iconic species.
