ABOUT THE LECTURE
"A Journey of Discovery: My Life with Ansel Adams"

Curator of "Discovering Ansel Adams," Dr. Rebecca Senf will share her decades of experience working with the Ansel Adams Archive at the Center for Creative Photography and how that intimate knowledge of the photographer has led to this distinctive exhibition. She will provide insights about his childhood and career, offer context, and reveal stories about Adams to enrich visitors’ exhibition experience.

Her BA in Art History is from the University of Arizona; her MA and PhD were awarded by Boston University. She has curated fifty exhibitions, including her recent Richard Avedon: Relationships, which was shown in Milan and Palermo, Italy and Rotterdam, in The Netherlands, and has contributed chapters, interviews, and essays to over a dozen publications. Senf is an Ansel Adams scholar, and in 2020 released a book on Adams’s early years called "Making a Photographer," co-published by the CCP and Yale University Press, now in a second printing.
