Morning: Ryukyu indigo dyeing at Aikaze, a small studio in the hills of Izumi, Motobu. The dye comes from indigo plants grown right there. The kids see how a green leaf turns into that deep blue, then each child ties and dyes a palm-sized shibori cloth to take home. No two come out the same.

Afternoon: Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium — whale sharks and manta rays in the giant Kuroshio tank, explored in small groups with our staff. Admission included.

Most of the bus is local Okinawan kids the same age, so your child spends the whole day side by side with them — sharing lunch, dyeing together, and coming home with new friends. Our staff speak English, so no Japanese is needed.

■ Meet 8:15 AM at Churakids (2-14-2 Kaihou, Okinawa City) → bus leaves 8:45 / back around 5:15 PM
■ Kids only (drop-off trip) · 25 seats, first come first served
■ Fee per child: SOFA $75 / Non-SOFA $85. Bus, workshop and aquarium admission included. Sibling discount: 10% off the 2nd child, 20% off the 3rd and beyond. Pay online by card.
■ Bring: packed lunch, water bottle, hat, comfortable shoes, and clothes that can get stained (indigo doesn't wash out)
■ Rain or shine (both activities are indoors)
■ Cancellation: full refund up to 3 days before / 50% from 2 days before / no refund on the day
