Housed within the College of Education, it exists to address the unmet needs of individuals with disabilities by bridging the research and practice gaps in achieving independence and desired employment. A video featuring the STRIDE Center appears below.This event will focus on the center's BOSS program - Building Opportunities for Spartan Success. BOSS provides employment and professional development opportunities for MSU students with disabilities. Attendees will learn about the purpose of the program, how it's structured to support participating students and supervisors, and outcomes to-date. Additionally, attendees will learn how community members can contribute to increasing the number of students served in the program.The Mid-Michigan Spartans will provide a complimentary assortment of Jimmy John's sandwiches, water, lemonade, and cookies for lunch. Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch items, as well.Event Timing:11:45 a.m. - Arrive at Playmakers & Select Lunch Items12:00 p.m. - Program Begins12::45 p.m. - Program Concludes1:00 p.m. - Remaining Guests Depart from PlaymakersEvent Location: Playmakers in Okemos is generously offering use of Curt & Judy Munson Community Room at Playmakers. Parking is available immediately outside of the building and is free.Support the Mid-Michigan Spartans: As with all free events, the Mid-Michigan Spartans include a donation option for those interested in supporting the expenses of our club. This is voluntary and contributions are not expected. We appreciate those who support our efforts to provide programming to alumni and friends.
