- **Event Description**: The Bridge Lit Festival will focus on a writer's sense of place. 

There are many ways to think about "place": where we reside, the various "places" we remember, we pass through, we read about, we imagine, we dream...

And there are places that others "create"--from history, geography, mythology, and more. 

To help us think and write about "place," we've decided to invite two experts who  have spent years of study, contemplation, labor, and writing about their perspectives on place to inspire us writers as we dive into our own "place possibilities" in our poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction workshops.

The Lit Fest will consist of  morning and afternoon presentations followed by writing workshops in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.  The festival will include a continental breakfast and  conclude with an open mic.

 The Bridge Literary Arts Center Lit Fest focuses on place--featuring two expert presenters. Amy Covel-Murphy, Carnegie Museum curator of Native American Grave Protection and Repatriation (NAGPRA) and Peter Greene, our chronicler of all things Venango County-- to inspire poets, nonfiction, and fiction writers into writing about "Place" in all its multivariousness.

And--if the festival isn't enough, as an extra benefit: There will be a fabulous Open Mic on Sunday, September 13, at the gorgeous riverfront Justice Park from 2-4.
