The Lost World (1925), based on the story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is a landmark silent adventure film filled with explorers, prehistoric creatures, and early special effects that helped pave the way for generations of movie monsters.

Content Note: The Lost World is a 1925 film and contains offensive racial representation, including a character portrayed in blackface. The film is presented as a historically significant work of early cinema and special effects history, not as an endorsement of those portrayals.
