Join the Team River Runner Fredericksburg, VA Chapter for an unforgettable, family friendly, Labor Day weekend paddling adventure on the iconic Lower Youghiogheny River in Ohiopyle, PA!
This 4-day trip will feature exciting whitewater rafting and kayaking through beautiful Class III rapids, scenic mountain landscapes, and camaraderie around the campfire. Whether you're a returning paddler or new to the water, this is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, build skills, and connect with the TRR community.
No prior whitewater experience is required—we’ll have experienced guides and safety support on hand.
-The plan is to arrive Thursday evening/Friday Morning, paddle Friday, Saturday, Sunday, & Monday, depart Monday afternoon. You don't need to attend every day, you can come and go as your schedule suits.
-Camping/Lodging/Food arrangements are still TBD.
-Please bring wicking (no cotton) top an bottom (long sleeves and longer shorts recommended for sun protection), sturdy shoes for the river (no aquasocks, crocs or flip flops), sun screen, water bottles that can be clipped in, and retention straps if you wear sun glasses.
-TRR Fredericksburg has kayaks, inflatable kayaks, and rafts (with guides) available for participants.
-Other Activities: There are several other options including biking, hiking, climbing, and cultural sites like Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water and Kentuck Knob that you can pursue on your own.
