- **Event Description**: Have you ever had the desire to try heating and manipulating hot glass? If so, you aren’t alone. Here is your chance. Lampworking is a type of glassblowing using a propane and oxygen fueled torch to safely heat and manipulate glass. When proper safety measures are taken, lampworking is a very safe and fun thing to do. All materials and equipment will be provided. Please read entire description to know what to expect. The glass used for this experience is borosilicate or “Pyrex” as it is commonly known.

This 3 hour lampwork “Experience” will allow you to make some glass pendants of your very own. You will make at least 2 basic pendants, but can make more if time permits (see photos for examples). Individual results may vary. Projects will be available for pick up the following business day, as they must be fired to anneal and strengthen the pieces.
