A little more about the Mental Health Technician (MHT) Role:
Our Mental Health Technicians have meaningful interactions with patients through various activities, including:
- Obtaining and Documenting Vital Signs: Ensuring accurate and timely recording of patients' vital signs.
- Engaging in One-on-One Sessions: Providing individualized attention to patients to foster a supportive environment.
- Discussing Patient Goals: Addressing psychosocial, spiritual, intellectual, and physical needs to help patients set and achieve their goals.
- Identifying Potential Patient Care Problems: Being proactive in recognizing and addressing potential issues to improve patient care.
- Collaborating with the Treatment Team: Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure the treatment plan is followed and to prevent adverse outcomes.
- Reporting and Recording Patient Behaviors: Keeping detailed records of patient behaviors, interactions, and responses to interventions.

A little more about the Registered Nurse (RN) Role:
- Providing Professional Nursing Care: Delivering care to help patients regain and maintain physical, emotional, and social health.
- Conducting Patient Assessments: Gathering and documenting patient data, including physical and psychosocial aspects, while involving their support system when appropriate.
- Acting as a Patient Advocate: Ensuring patient rights, obtaining consents, and maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Updating and Participating in Treatment Plans: Collaborating with the care team to develop, review, and update personalized treatment plans.
- Administering Medications Safely: Following proper protocols for Medic*tion administration, monitoring patient responses, and documenting outcomes.
- Responding to Emergencies: Identifying and addressing issues such as falls, self-harm risks, and adverse symptoms, using appropriate interventions.
- Educating Patients and Families: Providing age-appropriate teaching before discharge and documenting education provided.
How to Attend:You're encouraged to register ahead of time and attend anytime between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at our Rogers Behavioral Health Ladish Co. Foundation Center on January 14th. Walk-ins are welcome too! Please utilize the maps below to guide you to the event building.
