I’m going to play my crystal singing bowls by the bayou next weekend again while watching the sunset over the gulf. You’re invited to close your eyes and let the sound of the bowls wash over you or sit and watch the sunset as the crystal bowls lead your body into a state of healing relaxation.

Don’t worry if you don’t know how to meditate. This is about rest, about switching off, letting your mind slow down and giving your body a chance to reset. No pressure, no expectations. Just lying back and letting the sound do its work. You only need to show up and be present.

I will be playing Saturday 11 April at the usual spot by the water at Gulf Islands National Seashore. Sunset is at 7:20 so we’ll get started around 6:30. I’ll talk a bit, we’ll settle in and then I’ll start playing around 6:45. 

As always, bring a yoga mat or blanket to lie on and be comfortable. It might be a little damp so plan accordingly. You can bring a chair or use the park benches if you’d rather. Or really bond with nature and lie on the grass with the acorns. I suggest your preferred form of gnat and mosquito repellent too. Gotta cancel if it rains, the bowls won’t sing if they’re wet.

No charge for this. I’ll be there playing the sun down anyway and just want to share the vibes. All I ask is for you to be mindful of the energy you bring.

Park closes at dusk so we have to bounce as soon as we’re done. 

Entrance to Gulf Islands is in Ocean Springs at the red light by the hospital. Drive all the way down the road past the visitor center to where the picnic tables are. We’ll be down by the water.
