Habitat Hop - December 2025

On Saturdays from 11 a.m. to noon, explore habitats found along the NC coast.

Habitat Hop will feature a new habitat each month, with a new species from that habitat introduced each week.

Visitors will participate in a series of interactive activities to learn more about plants and animals found in the swamp, deep sea, on the beach, and in their own backyard.

In December, we will take a closer look at The Beach! From the dunes to tidal pools, many animals call the beach home. Learn about unique species you can find on your next beach walk during this month’s Habitat Hop.
