BASKET AUCTION / DONATION EXPLANATION
Basket Drop-Off
Any additional baskets may be dropped off at this time. Ann Hubbard (606‑776‑4785) and her committee of volunteers have already started collecting baskets from clubs and residents. These donations typically cover half—if not more—of the money needed to pay for the BMI License. It is a major collaboration between the Ambassadors, clubs, and residents. It requires a great deal of coordination, and our committed residents always shine. We are truly grateful for their support.
Basket Auction Participation
Any resident may participate; you do not need to be a dance ticket holder. Simply come to Palm Grove and place your tickets in as many baskets as you’d like to win. All baskets are donated by clubs and residents who value music in our community—whether you enjoy it while relaxing by the pool or dancing at the Palm or Orchid Club Ballroom. We must raise over $6,000 to cover our portion of the annual BMI license.
6:30 PM – Raffle Ticket Close
All ticket raffles close at 6:30 PM. Prizes will be awarded during the dance event
BMI (Broadcasting Music, Inc.)
Is a music licensing organization that collects fees from venues and events, so songwriters and musicians get paid when their music is played publicly. Our annual BMI license allows us to legally play the music you love at community dances and events.
