Beginner Watercolor with Elena Mahoney

Elena Mahoney was born in Ukraine in 1979 and moved to the United States in 2011. A self-taught watercolor artist, she began painting in 2015 and soon sold her first works through a downtown gallery in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2023 she moved to the Caribbean, dedicating most of her time to watercolor. Elena enjoys working in large formats and describes her style as spontaneous, transparent, and guided by emotion. She now lives in Ocala, Florida, where she devotes herself full-time to creating art.

This class is designed especially for complete beginners — for anyone who has never painted with watercolor before but has always wanted to try this relaxing and beautiful medium. In this gentle, step-by-step 2-hour class, we will paint one charming robin bird together. No pressure, no judgment — just a fun and friendly introduction to watercolor at a comfortable pace. All supplies are provided, so you can simply arrive and enjoy your first watercolor experience. Bring your curiosity, relax, and let yourself enjoy the magic of watercolor for the very first time!
