Rad Riders 2026 tryouts are coming up fast!
It is hard to believe we are already planning for our 3rd year.
Team details :
Age range guide is 10-20.
You must have your own horse and tack or the capability to lease . Horses must be sound and healthy . We do have some that may be borrowed for acute incidents.
We typically practice 1-2x per month over the winter and weekly-biweekly starting in the spring through the rest of the season.
We perform at horse shows , rodeos, and will likely ride in some parades.
We will also be hosting a kids clinic and doing some community service next year.
On this tryout day we will teach basic maneuvers and ride together and it will be very informal. This is the perfect time to try it and see if you like it. At the end of the day before decisions are made you can let us know if you are or are not interested.
Riders must be able to :
- guide safely at a walk, trot, and lope.
- be able to stop and turn quickly.
- carry a flag
They will also be judged on their ability to work respectfully within a team.
We have two more performances if you’d like to check us out and come talk to us in Person.
9/28 at olney, il at the white squirrel saddle club horse show at 1pm or 10/19 at the red hill state park arena at 1pm.
