Will and Alex from Seawilding are going to tell us all about it, what they've found out, where it is, what creatures live there and what we can do.Seagrass is incredible. It's a home for pipefish, nudibranchs and even sharks. It sequesters carbon keeping our planet safe. It even protects the coastline from erosion. And it's beautiful to swim over. Throughout the project we hope to:- be actively trialling some rewilding techniques to see if Seawilding's methods work the same in our little bay- be undertaking community monitoring and setting up seagrass stewards- and be putting all of our creative skills to good use communicating and celebrating what's there and what's going on!This is a really exciting chance to hear from Will and Alex from Seawildling who've had great success caring for their very own seagrass meadow down in Craignish and now want to see if we could do the same up here. They've had a good swim all around the seagrass meadow here and come up with a plan! At this evening we'll hear all about it. It's a great opportunity to learn about nature and our aim is that you come away excited, hopeful and inspired to be a part of things. Or just having found out something you didn't know before and feeling a little more hopeful. Human hands can be a positive thing for nature especially in this case!We're keen to invite volunteers, questions and feedback.
