Safe Food Handling is essential for protecting health and preventing foodborne illnesses. Understanding the principles of food safety ensures the meals you prepare are both safe and nourishing. This interactive, hands-on training equips you with the knowledge and confidence to handle, prepare, and service food safely.
Through real-world examples and hands-on learning, you'll learn how simple practices can prevent illness and keep clients safe.
This training is approved by the Ministry of Health and is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to keep food safe. By the end of the course, you will feel more confident in identifying potential food safety risks and applying safe, effective food-handling techniques in your daily work.
This training is open to everyone.
REFUND POLICY:
For cancellations:Cancellations received within 15 or more business days prior to the training/orientation start date will receive a refund minus Eventbrite Fees.
Alternatively, paid registrants unable to attend a course for which they have registered may opt to apply their fees to a future session. Fees must be used within one year of the original course date. In some instances, paying registrants may have the option to transfer their paid seat to another staff member in their organization to use within the year of the original course date.Cancellations can be submitted via email (aW5mbyB8IHJlZ2lvbmFsbGVhcm5pbmdjZW50cmUgISBjYQ==) or by phone (905-829-7006).
Refunds will not be provided in the following circumstances:·
Cancellations received less than fifteen business days prior to the training session/workshop start date this includes the orientation date.
‘No shows’ (defined as individuals registered for a training session, workshop or course who do not attend the training or orientation and do not submit a cancellation to the RLC education team).
In the event that a course is cancelled by the Regional Learning Centre all paid registrants will have the option to receive a full refund, including Eventbrite fees or use the fees towards a future session. Fees must be used within one year of the cancelled course date.
