John McEuen and The Circle Band, 16 May | Event in Livermore | AllEvents.in About the event John McEuen and The Circle Band
Grammy-winning Americana legend and co-founding member of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band performs hits, originals, and a ‘Circle’ album tribute.

About this Event

21+ Bar opens at 5 pm. John McEuen and The Circle Band start at 7:00 pm.

John McEuen brings with him 45+ years of worldwide performing with his banjo, fiddle, guitar, and mandolin. A founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1966, John instigated the 1972 classic Will the Circle Be Unbroken album, (inducted in to the Library of Congress as 'one of America's most important recordings’). He has earned Emmy nominations, Grammy Awards, CMA acclaim, The Western Heritage Award, and many other accolades. With music from 1860's to now, original songs laced with known hits, and a special tribute to the 'Circle' album music (and the stories behind it), it all comes to life in an evening of acoustic music in overdrive.

Joining him tonight is Les Thompson, co-founder of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, & the Circle Band's hot pickers: Bryan McDowell (guitar, mandolin, fiddle) and Danny Knicely (guitar, mandolin).

See him and his band live at Almost Famous Wine Lounge, an award-winning, new tasting room and venue located on Vasco Road in the heart of Livermore's wine, spirits and brewery district. Almost Famous Wine makes fifteen wines in diverse styles, and earned over 50 top industry awards since our debut in 2021.
