Speaker Series: "You Can Be a Winning Writer" with Joan Gelfland
Except for June, July, August, and December, we meet on the third Sunday of each month at 1pm at 1204 Preservation Park Way in Oakland (in the Robinson House Classrooms). Use street parking and enter from Preservation Park Way off of 12th Street. There is an ADA accessible entrance from Martin Luther King Drive parking lot.
Our meetings always begin with our Speaker Series featuring writers, editors, teachers, publishers, agents and more on the art, craft, and business of a writing and publishing life. We also highlight a club member each month… this could be YOU! After the meeting, our marketing success group meets for an hour, then from 4-5 we feature a craft group which allows writers to discuss their current works and how they can be improved.
Our meetings are open to the public, and offer all writers the socializing, book sales, and writer support groups that we need to succeed—plus coffee! There is a $10 charge for non-members, and it’s only $5 for members.
Doors open at 12:30pm. Come early to check in, socialize, volunteer, make things happen.
The December meeting is our holiday event at a venue to be announced. Check the calendar for details later in the year.
