Join us for our next one.About this EventJoin us for the PickITup Chinatown organized by OCA-East BayOCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates in one of the largest oldest national Asian Pacific American civil rights organizaitons with volunteer chapters across the country and a national center in Washington, D.C.OCA's East Bay Chapter (OCA-East Bay) has been around for over 30 years trying to help develop new community leaders. For the past few years we have activated people through "PickITup Chinatown", a monthly program to get people to feel values of community ownership and that civic engagement is not just about voting.In our TENTH YEAR, we've cleared hundreds of pounds of trash and illegal dumping out of the Chinatown, have disrupted graffiti, and planted/watered new trees in the neighborhood.PickITup's have happened monthly on the second Sunday of each month for the better part of the past nine years.
