Oakland Creates is a mini zinefest /comix fest showcasing zines, art and comics from new and emerging artists in the East Bay Oakland area. Primarily giving space to traditionally underrepresented voices. Oakland Creates includes artists and creators who work to build a more diverse, consciously wholistic community. At the heart of Oakland Creates is the diy and indie zine spirit. Oakland Creates is a gathering of makers who want to build a community that can positively impact our neighbors, friends, family, kids and other artists. We seek to make people feel welcome, understood, represented,loved and lifted up!
