Our next Cultural Food Traditions dinner on November 24th bring us to Mexico. Our next door neighbor, yet do we really know the breadth and depth of the Mexican cuisine? Have you heard of the decolonization food movement? Here's your chance to eat delicious food and have this conversation.Our food and stories for the evening will come from Jorge & Raquel at Pipirin and the Chavez family at El Huarache Azteca. Our partner organization for the evening is Refugee Transitions.
Slow Food East Bay’s series of events celebrates the cultural food traditions of immigrants, refugees and displaced people, learning how food helps people stay connected to homeland and also engage with new communities. Attendees will be inspired by stories from chefs and community organizations, learning how diversity and migration have helped in the development of our food system.... And, frankly, make it delicious!
