Hiking by Transit: Clipper 2.0 Launch Celebration - Mt Tamalpais hike

Come join at the start in Oakland, or at any point along the way!

Hike details

This hike takes old railroad grades up to the visitor center at the East Peak. The grade is quite consistent, but there is significant elevation gain (approximately 1500ft).

Be prepared for 7.8mi distance and 1500ft of elevation gain!

Transit Schedule

We meet at 12th St BART. We then catch:

• the 10:27am BART train at 12th St / Oakland
• the 10:58am Golden Gate Transit 150 bus at Civic Center (McAllister & Polk)
• the 12:05pm Marin Transit 61 at Marin City Hub

We arrive at the Pantoll Ranger Station at 12:49pm, and need to catch the 3:55pm bus back (though as a fallback, there is a 5:10pm bus).
