For educators, it’s important to connect with our students culturally by understanding these nuances. This workshop intentionally coincides with the end of Ramandan, a month-long Islamic practice of strengthening connection with Creator through fasting and prayer.  The end of Ramadan includes a three-day celebration called Eid al-fitr, and those who observe will often do henna to celebrate.  Bring your family, kids (8 years old and up), and friends to practice designs from various parts of the SWANA and South Asian regions, and leave with a design of your own.
