AKC FIT DOG Spring Scurry 2026

What is the AKC FIT DOG Spring Scurry?
The AKC FIT DOG Spring Scurry is a on-competitive 5K (3.1 miles) that people do with their dogs. This can be a walk or run activity.

Umpqua Kennel Club is an approved AKC FIT DOG club. This event is open to all dog owners, not just club members as well. Your dog does not have to be purebred or registered to participate with us.

Optional Registration:
A $20 fee that includes the attractive 3” AKC Spring Scurry medal with a ribbon that can be ordered through the AKC website, not our club.

The Spring Scurry counts toward AKC FIT DOG title points! To do this, document your distances and times on a smartphone, smartwatch (or similar device), or on an AKC FIT DOG Documentation form to be signed by our club race official.
The AKC FIT DOG Spring Scurry is done on an honor system. The Ford's Pond loop is only 1.9 miles, so distance tracking is a must if you want to be sure that you do the full 5k.
