Camera Club of Oak Ridge wants to invite everyone - photographer or not - to hear Steve Zigler present on - "Six Things about Photography I Wish I Knew Earlier."
Steve is such a engaging speaker that anyone should walk away with inspiration and new ideas to try out.
Steve: "Photography has always been a journey for me. Whether it is in the literal form of a trip to a new location, learning a new processing technique, or doing something as simple as printing on a new paper, photography is always a discovery process for me.
Looking back on this process, six milestones stand out as key learnings that heightened my love of photography and satisfaction with the medium. Of course, each learning came in its time, even though I often fall into the trap of “if only I knew then what I know now.” I try to avoid impatient thinking like that now, but as I look back it’s always tempting to wish for more.
But learning is a never-ending process and I’m still at it. In this presentation, I’ll share my six photography milestones. Maybe they will help you understand the milestones that define your love of photography and satisfaction with the medium. I hope you find one or two meaningful tidbits!"
# Bio for Steve Zigler
Steve Zigler has never been a professional photographer and rarely sells a photograph. Instead, he makes his living as a chemist at Siemens PETNET Solutions in Knoxville. Steve’s simple mission is to touch the hearts and minds of people around the world through photography to help them connect with themselves, the planet, and the universe. When he’s not in the field with his camera, processing images, or planning a trip, Steve shares his infectious enthusiasm for photography through workshops at the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont and educational programs at UT.
