- **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 24 Apr, 2026 at 06:00 pm – Fri, 22 May, 2026 at 08:00 pm (-05:00)
- **Event Description**: Engage in the practice of archiving the many influences and stimulants present in your creative work.About this EventTravel through a conversation about archiving our materials, influences, and experiences as we engage in our art forms. So often, our narrative of an art piece is solely based around the piece itself (materials, date, location made), but doesn't always record the larger impact on one's life, which just as significantly impacts the outcome of the art. This could include what books or movies were being watched/read during the period of making, what other world or community events were happening, if any personal matters occurred, as well as any narrative flow the maker had during the process. Additionally, we will document the materials we use for our art and the story or process of how they came into our lives. This is not just a "second hand shirt", we will transcribe the story of how it came to be (where, when, how, why). Participants will be provided a worksheet with prompts to use throughout the class, basic art materials to play with during the lesson, and a zine to take home to carry the work forward. Participants are welcome to bring their own (small, portable) art forms to use in this learning path.
