Step into the ancient, luminous world of encaustic painting, where molten beeswax, pigment, and fire come together to create richly layered, soulful works of art.
In this immersive, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the foundations of encaustic painting while creating a finished artwork from start to finish
. Participants will have 
a selection of wood panel sizes to choose from, allowing you to work at a scale that feels right for your vision.We’ll begin by building smooth, glowing base layers of pigmented wax, then move into expressive techniques—
melting, fusing, carving, etching, layering, and revealing texture within the wax. 
From there, you’ll bring your piece to life by tinting your etched designs with oil paints and enhancing details with mica powders for subtle shimmer and depth.
While encaustic painting may look complex, its magic lies in playful experimentation and trust. You’ll quite literally play with fire in a safe, guided environment, discovering how heat, color, and intuition work together in surprising and beautiful ways.
