PYA Creative Collaborations — where I open my beloved studio to other incredible artists to share their magic with you.
And we are kicking it off this year with the amazing Lisa Stites L🤍
If you’re local, you already know the Stites (yes… from Southport Magazine 😉).
One Saturday afternoon, Lisa and Jeff stopped by the studio and she casually showed me these junk journals she had been making… and I was instantly obsessed.

I’ve always loved junk journaling, but I had never seen anything like what Lisa had created. Layered. Soulful. Thoughtful. Full of story. I knew right then I had to invite her to teach here.

So here we are… and I couldn’t be more excited to host her at Pescado Y Amor.

A junk journal is a handmade book that is completely unique to you. Vintage, colorful, beachy, travel-inspired… there are no rules. Only creativity. Pockets, ephemera, tags, layers, texture, story. The good stuff.

This is a beginner-friendly, hands-on class where you’ll learn how to build your journal, create pockets, make ephemera, and start decorating with intention and heart. All materials provided — just bring your curiosity and your creative spirit.

✨ You’ll also choose a themed kit: Love, Beach, or Vintage.
Important note: You are pre-registering to hold your spot, and payment is made directly to Lisa at the workshop (cash or Venmo). Easy, simple, community-style.
