Join staff, Friends, and volunteers of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful, Keep Ohio Beautiful, and special guest, Bebot the litter robot, for a beach cleanup on Saturday, April 11th from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Crane Creek Beach. Volunteers will meet at the West end of the Magee Marsh boardwalk to fill out paperwork before the event. Participants under 18 require a guardian signature. Then, we will walk the beach, picking up any trash we encounter along the way. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Supplies such as gloves, bags, and trash pickers will be provided. Afterwards, we will celebrate the upcoming Volunteer Recognition Day early by enjoying a pizza lunch generously provided by Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and Friends of Magee Marsh Wildlife Area. Register on Eventbrite. Questions? Call (419) 607-7506.
This event is part of our recurring monthly cleanups, usually scheduled on the second Saturday of every month. Keep an eye out for future volunteer events to help us keep plastic waste and other litter off of our beaches and out of our waterways and local communities!
