The Tour de Surgeon X is ON. This year we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of le Tour de Surgéon with even more than normal, get ready it's time to RIDE! Saturday, July 5th – Sunday, July 27, 2025. This 3-week event at Bike Surgeon coincides with the Tour de France. Each day that there is a ride stage in the Tour de France, there is a ride stage in the Tour de Surgeon. This event comes with everything you'd expect from the real tour, except A LOT more fun, as you get to ride, not just watch!
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Tour in proper fashion we have added a BUNCH of HUGE PRIZES!! And when we say HUGE, we mean HUGE! Prizes, and how to win them, will be announced on the first day of the tour and posted here shortly thereafter.
Tour de Surgeon is a points-based competition. This is NOT a race.
There are several ways in which to accumulate points in each stage:
1.Sign in and ride the stage. You get the biggest points for simply participating. 10 points for each official TDS Ride and 20 points for each off-site ride (7/6, 7/9, 7/10, 7/13, 7/17, 7/20, 7/24) you sign into and ride. The sign-in binder will be handled by one of our crew, find that person in the shop or at the off-site ride and make sure to sign in. If you do your own remote ride, not with the designated daily ride, but rather a ride on your own, you can earn 5 points. (please send Strava documentation to

2.Apparel – Dress in a previous year Tour de Surgéon jersey or Pro Team jersey (3 points). Let the crew member who has the sign in sheet know you have a qualifying jersey on to get your points.
3.Social media – This one is worth three points per post, one post per day. Please upload your pictures from a stage to Facebook or Instagram with #tourdesurgeon; also feel free to tag one or multiple sponsors; using the @ sign before each business name to have them come up correctly: Bike Surgeon, The Korte Company, Gilster Mary-Lee, Smoothie King O’Fallon, North Bay Produce, Lagunas Roofing, Aggressive Graphics, Cardin Photography & Motion, Superior Construction, Raymond James, Barnes Properties, Roots, Le Ono, ReMax Emily Greenstreet, Cycle Life Cycle. At the next time you check in for a TDS ride show the crew member in charge of check in your post and they will notate your points. We used to be able to handle this check via the social platforms, but due to changes (thanks bookFace) we can no longer guarantee consistency in that way of scoring so we have gone back to the old school way of doing it, show us your post in person and get points for it on the following day.
4.At the end of the event, the most Clever/Creative/Epic picture or video of the year involving a team sponsor will be selected for a 25 point bonus (selected by a third party judging panel). To participate in this piece of the competition please shoot a link to your awesome post to us at:

5.Strava segment – Each TDS official ride will have a designated Strava segment – top 3 times for both male and female to get bonus points (3 points for 1st, 2 points for 2nd and 1 point for 3rd) **You must participate/ride with the group to earn this bonus. Segments will not be announced/published prior to the beginning of the ride.
6.Individual Time Trial (ITT) Points – The Individual Time Trials will happen on Wednesday, July 9th and Friday, July 18th. Something new for this year, we will have one TT as we always have, results based on the accuracy of your predicted finish time, with NO electronics or time keeping devices allowed that particular day. This one will be scored as one overall category with 20 Points for 1st thru 2 Points for 10th place. The other TT will be wide open, scored on actual time, male and female categories with age groups every 10 years (10-19, 20-29.....race age will be your age on December 25th, 2025). You read that right, a real TT, on open roads of course, so it's your responsibility to follow all rules of the road and ride safe.
7.Offsite Rides – This year we will have more offsite ride locations throughout the event than ever. These will happen: Stage 2, July 6th; stage 5, July 9th; stage 6, July 10th; stage 9, July 13th; stage 12, July 17th; stage 15, July 20th; and stage 18, July 24th. These seven rides will be the only official TDS events of that day. The locations and times will be announced on our facebook event for the TDS and you get extra attendance points for participating in these rides (20 points vs the 10 points for a regular TDS ride).
8.Theme Nights: On Stage 4, July 8th; Stage 11, July 16th, and Stage 17, July 23rd there will be a specific theme for the ride. If you dress yourself or your bike in that theme you will receive 3 points. Best dressed each theme night will receive an additional 10 points. (Winner will be selected by Bike Surgeon staff that are NO participating in the ride)
9.21 Stages Completed – Anyone that participates in all 21 stages (max of two of your own remote rides not at official TDS event site) will receive a 25 point bonus
10.Tickets issued for Tour de Surgeon X (10th Anniversary) prizes will be based on participation in OFFICIAL TdS rides only (no remote ride from home rides count).
All rides other than the ITT's will be at B pace (17-19mph AVERAGE) and roll Monday – Friday at 6pm (keep an eye out for those rest days, 7/15 and 7/21); Saturdays at 8am and Sundays at 5pm. If that pace is beyond your skill-set you can sign in with all of the other riders for the TDS and do a ride at your own pace, the important part is you are out riding and rolling from the shop with us.
The top three point’s earners each week (after stages 7,14 and 21) get in on some wicked cool prizes. The Overall top three point-holders at the end of the Tour de Surgéon will WIN a 2025 version of the limited release Tour de Surgéon jersey FREE. The rest of the top ten can grab one of these jerseys at 50% off and anyone with at least 10 TDS points can grab a jersey at 25% off. Those are the regular TDS prizes, the HUGE 10th Anniversary prizes will be announced at the first TDS ride of the year and posted here shortly thereafter.
The Tour de Surgeon is not only a great chance to build HUGE fitness and have fun on your bike, but you can also earn big money for riding your bike! For every point you earn in this year’s Tour, you will earn $1 towards the purchase of a new carbon bike for yourself in 2025. Crunch those numbers: 10 points for showing up to each stage; 3 points for wearing a tour or pro team jersey; 3 points for uploading your pictures to social media and a potential 3 bonus points for Strava segments…almost $20 for one night of riding! Multiply that out over the course of 3 weeks, and you can accumulate some nice cash toward a new ride!
