To the 3rd highest point to one of the best-hiking destinations in Kenya, to the ever impressive Aberdares. It is Rurimeria Hill (3860M). Starting from Geta Bush area at local guides  and wildlife watchers station,  we follow the electric fence and cross a stream with clear water and through a small of the rain forest as we start a steep ascent for 3.5km to the viewpoints

The long walk to the peak through the moorland to the peak reveal exciting views of Mt. Kipipiri and the Table Mountain of the Aberdares. From the peak the Le Satima valley invite. The trek is treacherous through the water bogs but the views are rewarding with vantage rocks to capture your imagination.
 
The trek takes 8-9 hrs meaning those who wish to take part need to prepare physically and psychologically. Join the home of mountain lovers on this exciting adventure journey, test your endurance, find new strength within you and push the limits.

Trip Itinerary
Time 			Activity
4.30am  	Depart Nairobi for Rurimeria expected to arrive and  to start the hike at 7.30am
12.30pm 	Enjoy your packed lunch or snacks at the peak as you view the scenic surroundings
7.00 pm	Leave Rurimeria for Nairobi expecting to arrive at 10.00pm

What to wear and items to carry;
Comfortable running shoes or Waterproof hiking boot preferred
Hiking/gym pants (avoid jeans)
Polyester T-shirt (like the football jerseys) carry an extra one to change after the hike
Head Torch
Sunglasses
Hat/cap
Camera
Binoculars
Drinking water (3litres)
Sun screen (Arimis oK) and Insect repellant
Heavy snack or picnic Lunch
Energy Bars
Poncho or a light Rain Jacket
Avoid unnecessary Items
Finally carry loads of fun with you and tag along with a friend!!

Cost
Adults- KES. 4,850 per person, KES. 5,350  for residents and non- residents $115

Included:
•	Transport to and from Rurimeria Geta forest Gate
•	Park Entry fee
•	Guide fee
•	Paramedic Fee
 

Book your space by sending a non-refundable booking fee of KES. 1,500/- via Lipa na Mpesa Paybill no. 5211729 Account RURIMERIA by 17th November 2025 and the balance by 21st November 2025.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled trip departure, 50% of the fee will be charged.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled trip departure, no refund fees will be provided.
No shows are responsible for 100% of trip fees.
