"Indie Short Film Expo 2019"
We here at The Boogaloo Short Film Expo seek to pay homage to our Bordertown's creative legacy and to foster to give voice to independent filmmakers, from the region and around the world. We hope to provide a platform for emerging artists to showcase and talk about their films, to network with other filmmakers and to advertise, in a way, the wonderfully complex culture that continues to grow through our state and her people.

Indie Short Film Expo 2019
Submission fee: Free
-Genre: All genres are accepted with the exception of music videos.
-Running time: 40 minutes or under. No exceptions. Running time includes end credits.
-Production year: The film must have been produced after January 1, 2016.
Works in progress are accepted.
-Language: English subtitles are required for submissions with languages other than English.
-Formats: If selected, filmmakers are required to provide an Apple ProRes and mp4 file.
Methods to submit: hard drive, flash drive mailed or delivered physically (drives will be returned), via Dropbox, and emailed. Backups can be submitted on DVD or Blue-ray
Originality and Permissions; INDEMNITY
Films must be the original work of the applicants. If a film is based upon another person’s life or upon a book or other underlying work, applicant(s) must secure any necessary rights to make such adaptations. However, it is not necessary to submit the adaptation rights agreements to the Expo. Neither the Expo nor its jurists investigates or attests to the authenticity of an applicant’s statement of authorship or rights secured. By entering the competition, you represent that you have secured all necessary rights.
Applicants are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary rights and permissions for third-party materials included in their films, including but not limited to music, trademarks, logos, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights. Indie Short Film Expo expressly disclaims all liability or responsibility for any violations of the foregoing.
