Scout and ride the border from Laredo to Eagle Pass.
Not for the faint of heart.
We are currently figuring out our ride-back-from-Laredo situation, and our lodging options. If you come prepared for the most uncomfortable, bike-camping, hose-water-drinking situations, than you will probably be pleasantly surprised! Stay tuned for the hard facts.
We are going to stick to a 13-14 mph average so that we all start and finish together, break bread together along the way, face adversity together, and nobody gets killed by coyotes (of either kind).
This is gonna be some unsupported roughing it, beginning with a car caravan ride down to Laredo, lodging where we can find it, early AM wake up, and a 15mph average at minimum. The route is 120 miles with 3000ft of climbing. There are no stops, there is no B group. You will need water, food, tubes, tools, and who knows: maybe an extra tire.
If this interferes with some important to-be-announced TXBRA event, we will pretty much not flinch.
