Up to 80% of strokes are preventable.Join us at Nowra Library to hear from the Stroke Foundation as they tell us how to recognise the signs of stroke, discover why F.A.S.T. saves lives and how to prevent strokes.Our StrokeSafe Speaker has either experienced a stroke themselves or are close to someone who has. They will draw on their own personal experiences with stroke - so every talk is unique and memorable. Our speaker will cover:What stroke is – What happens when someone is having a stroke and the different types of stroke.How to recognise the signs of stroke – Learn the vital F.A.S.T. signs of stroke.What to do during a stroke emergency – Knowing when to call triple zero (000).How to reduce your risk of stroke in you or the people you love – Understand and reduce the risk of stroke.There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.Please note that this event requires a minimum of 10 bookings to go ahead.
