- **Event Description**: "More Moments in Marin History: Familiar Tales & Untold Stories" will be the subject of a talk by Scott Fletcher, prominent Marin Historian, at the Quarterly Membership Meeting of the Novato Historical Guild on Saturday, June 20, 10-12 at Novato City Hall.  The event is open to the public and free of charge.

Fletcher is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and holds advanced degrees from San Francisco and San Jose State universities. He has written over 130 “History Watch” columns for the Marin History Museum that have appeared in the Marin Independent Journal newspaper. He is a volunteer with the museum working both as a columnist and a cataloguer of the Louise Arner Boyd collection. Mr. Fletcher is a native Californian with a great interest in the history of Marin, where he has made his home since 1985 working both as a history teacher and Library Director in Marin County Schools.

The Novato Historical Guild operates two museums.  The Novato History Museum is in the old Postmaster’s House, 815 DeLong Avenue. The Hamilton Field History Museum is in the 1935 Hamilton Firehouse, 555 Hangar Avenue. Both museums are open Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 12-4.
