Saturday, December 27, 2025


Join us for the final NBCH hike of 2025 in the Indian Valley Open Space Preserve, behind Indian Valley College in Novato.

We will hike three loop trails from the Indian Valley Fire Road: Pacheco Pond/Waterfall Trails, Witzel Trail and Schwindt Trail.

Miles: 5+ miles - moderate hike.

Should be back to parking lot by 1:00pm.

OR

Hike the Fire Road loop Trail only for a 2.5 mile easy hike.
*No leader for this short hike, we will provide an easy to follow map.

Meet At: Noah’s Bagels in Petaluma at 9:00 AM, ready to leave by 9:10 AM.

Take Hwy 101 to the Washington Street exit, head east to McDowell Blvd, turn right on McDowell, left into Safeway shopping center. Noah's Bagels is near Safeway.

OR

Meet At: Indian Valley College, Novato, at 9:45 AM.

Take Hwy 101 to the southern most Novato exit, Ignacio/Bel Marin Keys. Travel west on Ignacio Blvd, to the end, into Indian Valley College. Drive to the last parking lot by the soccer fields.

Bring: Water (Recommended Minimum 1500ml / 50 fl. oz), snacks, rain gear, sun protection, wear layered clothing..
