UNICAS (University of Nottingham Interdisciplinary Centre for Analytical Science) is a long-standing University initiative which brings together cross-discipline groups and funds exciting, novel research projects involving analytical science.
Each year we organise sandpit events to facilitiate face to face networking between different faculties, schools and departments. We fund novel and scientifically excellent research projects arising from these sandpits.
Come along to a UNICAS Graduate School sandpit event to network with other doctoral students and early career reseachers, showcase your expertise, discuss research challenges and find solutions to them.
Dates, time and locations of upcoming UNICAS @ Graduate School sandpits:

Wednesday 6 November 2019, ESLC Graduate Centre (C09), University Park, 12.30-16.00
Wednesday 4 December 2019, A29 Vet School, Sutton Bonington, 12.30-16.00 (joint with UNICAS @ GS)

if you are unable to register as there may still be a possibility for you to attend.
Please also note that there are 2 types of UNICAS sandpits, each with different funding amounts available, eligibility criteria and application forms. Whilst attendance at either Sandpit is open to all as a networking opportunity, there are application restrictions based on job role/student status for both schemes. The lead applicant must have attended a sandpit corresponding to the scheme for which they are applying. See the UNICAS website for further details about the 2 schemes.
