Join our resident Shakespeare Scholar, Dr Kibrina Davey for a fun-filled look at Shakespearean insults!
Learn all about Shakespeare’s theatre, hear some of the best insults in the Shakespearean canon, learn the meaning behind them, and have a go at creating and performing your own!
This event will last for approximately two hours (including a break for juice and biscuits)
Kibrina Davey is the Events Manager at Waterstones Nottingham. She has a Ph.D in early modern drama from Sheffield Hallam University and is a qualified teacher. Her research interests include Shakespeare and his contemporaries, early modern emotion, and the history of medicine. Kibrina has published articles in Textus, Early Modern Literary Studies, and Cahiers Elisabethains and co-edited and contributed a chapter to Poison on the Early Modern Stage, published by Manchester University Press.
