Headline Act:
Pete Thompson is a latecomer to the world of poetry and spoken word performance. Having been spotted at his first ever open mic in late 2024 by James Scott Howes. A friendship that has flourished since their first meeting, Pete quickly slotted into the scene appearing at venues around England and Wales either doing a five or ten minute slot or fulfilling the occasional headline.

Early rewards found him working closely with various charities and campaign groups which he continues to enjoy. Causes such as Gaza. Palestine. Local land preservation. River pollution. Homelessness and Domestic abuse have all received more than a passing verse from him. Never afraid to use his words to point a finger or call out injustice.

He already has headline appearances booked in Nottingham. Lincoln and Stafford for 2026 so it could be a very exciting year ahead.

He is joint creator and host of Sabrina Poets open mic night, as well as creator and host of The Rise Sessions. Both in Bewdley, Worcestershire.
Pete Thompson is a poet known for his impactful and thought provoking works which explore themes of memory, identity and the human experience. His contributions to the literary community highlight his dedication to the craft.
When not writing or performing Pete runs his private counselling practice and loves getting creative with live edge woodwork as a connection with nature.

Although a late starter there's a lot more to come from this sometimes fragile but always insightful performer.

Feature Act:
Amber Ackerman: From Wounds to Power – A Musical Rebirth

Amber Ackerman is a singer and songwriter from Lincolnshire, and her latest set is a sonic blaze of truth, healing, and raw power. Born from the ashes of deep personal trauma, Amber’s music tells the story of survival — from the depths of domestic abuse to the fierce joy of newfound freedom.

This is more than music — it’s a battle cry, a love letter to the self, a fierce anthem for every survivor. With a sound that roars and soothes in equal measure, Amber fuses pop, rock, rap, jazz and soul into a genre-defying experience that’s both deeply personal and universally empowering.

Driven, punchy, and emotionally electric, these songs carry the wounds and the triumphs — celebrating self-love, reclaiming power, and dancing on the edge of liberation. Her voice is fire and velvet, her lyrics unflinchingly honest. Every beat is a heartbeat. Every note is a step closer to healing.

If you've ever felt silenced, broken, or lost — this is your soundtrack to rising.
