A 45-minute guided walk along a small stretch of Nottingham’s canal as part of Nottingham Heritage Open Days.
We will find out about its creation and its demise, its iconic buildings and its bridges. There's a dramatic explosion, a royal visit, plus a successful balloon flight and Nottingham's first woman magistrate.
The walk is a gentle stroll; it does involve crossing the canal via a footbridge. Please come prepared for whatever the weather chooses to share with us that day.

Heard so many interesting facts about buildings we pass every week - thanks Felicity, you were brilliant!
An excellent walk today, a nice blend of the well-known & (to me) less well known.
Really well researched, professionally presented walk.
